Disciple: Conquering Cultural Christianity

Too many churches are looking for decisions and Jesus is looking for disciples. One of the greatest problems we have in our church like most churches is we have too many people who have made decisions, but too few people who have become disciples. What we have in the church (more often than not) are not disciples; we have cultural Christians. They are people who proudly bear the label of Christian, but they don’t truly live the life of a disciple.

How we see God will determine how we relate to God and how we see God relating to us. The truth is the only right way to see God is the way God sees himself. It is only when you see God for who he really is that you will see you for who you really are and others the way they really are. Once you see that you realize the real God and the true God is the God who sends and wants you to be sent as well.

Serve: Opening Your Gift

A disciple called Peter wrote in a book called 1 Peter several reasons why we should not look at serving as something we have to do, but something we should want to do and be glad to do.

Worship: Right from the Heart

Do you realize the first three commands of the Ten Commandments that God has given to the world all deal with worship? We are to recognize him alone as God. We are to revere him as the only God and we are to respect his name. That is the heart of worship. When you worship right from the heart, all the other commandments fall.
